Disassembly steps:
The iQOO 3 card tray has a silicone ring to provide some waterproof and dustproof effects. The back cover and the inner support are fixed with glue. Use a hot air gun to heat to 190°C, heat the gap between the back cover and the inner support, and slowly open the back cover.
The iQOO 3 rear camera cover is fixed to the rear camera with foam glue, and there is also foam between the camera to enhance the airtightness of the phone.
The iQOO 3 motherboard cover and the speaker are fixed with screws, and a large area of graphite sheet covers the battery and speaker positions to dissipate heat.
The flash soft board and antenna soft board of iQOO 3 are fixed with glue, and the earpiece module and the main board are connected by a soft board on the front of the main board cover.
The cameras of iQOO 3 are all separate modules, and the soft board is covered with conductive tape for protection. The soft board of the 13-megapixel portrait camera is covered with a BTB cover for protection. The motherboard processor & memory position is coated with heat dissipation silicone grease and directly contacts the heat dissipation copper tube for heat dissipation. Heat dissipation copper foil is attached to the main and sub-boards for heat dissipation.
The battery of iQOO 3 is fixed to the inner support with plastic tape and is equipped with a handle for easy removal.
The soft buttons on both sides of the inner support of iQOO 3 are equipped with protective silicone pads, the front fingerprint recognition sensor soft board is protected by a cover, and a silicone ring is placed at the speaker outlet for waterproofing.
The iQOO 3 liquid cooling copper tube extends from the motherboard to the battery position to dissipate heat.
The screen of iQOO 3 is fixed to the inner support with glue. Use a heating table to heat it to about 80°C to separate the screen from the inner support.
Like the previous generation iQOO Pro 5G, the iQOO 3 motherboard also adopts a double-layer stacking method.

Disassembly summary
Judging from the disassembly results, iQOO 3 adopts a three-stage design with a rigorous overall design. It is equipped with the top hardware at the time of its release. The motherboard adopts a double-layer stacking method, which is more integrated and saves more space. Thanks to this, iQOO 3 is packed with a 4440 mAh large battery to ensure long battery life under 5G network speed.
However, the double-layer stacking of the motherboard and the high-speed data transmission of 5G will bring heat dissipation problems. iQOO 3 uses graphite sheets + heat dissipation silicone grease + liquid cooling copper tubes to dissipate heat. The liquid cooling copper tubes extend from the motherboard to the battery position, and large areas of graphite sheets are attached to the motherboard and battery positions for heat dissipation. In addition, the entire machine has silicone rings at the SIM card tray and the speaker outlet for waterproof design. The overall workmanship is good and the details are well handled.
iQOO 3 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 mobile platform, equipped with LPDDR 5 and UFS 3.1 flash memory to form a super performance combination, supports Wi-Fi 6, and uses carbon fiber VC liquid cooling system for efficient heat dissipation. Excellent hardware performance plus X-axis linear motor and Hawkeye display enhancement technology make it the official KPL competition machine. The multi-modal antenna and side distributed antenna allow 4G/5G network intelligent switching. With such a powerful configuration, the current rush price starts at only 2,898 yuan, which is really good.
iQOO has a mature supply chain control capability and provides the ultimate performance earlier than its competitors. In addition to performance, it also tries to integrate with a large new user group with a cooler and newer experience and explore new experiences for future mobile phones. This may be the secret of iQOO's success after just over a year of launch.
