July 7 news: Security company Evina found 25 applications in the Google Play Store that stole users' Facebook login data through fake Facebook authentication pages.

The Android malware apps, which range from flashlights to image editors, work by opening a page in a background browser that looks like the Facebook login page and prompting you to enter your details, even though the page has no connection to the app.

In addition to stealing user credentials, users have also complained about ad pop-ups, ad notifications, and other glitches on their phones.

IT Home learned that Google has removed these applications from the Google Play Store, but you should still check whether these applications are installed in the list below and make sure to delete them from your device.

Given that these apps are downloaded from a trusted source (Googe Play Store), it is difficult for end users to protect themselves. One way is to install an anti-malware application on your phone, and another is to protect your important accounts (such as Google account and Facebook account) through two-step factor authentication.
