On May 13, Li Xiaoshuang, general manager of Xiaomi Group's home appliance department, shared the installation process of the Redmi Smart TV MAX 98-inch.
In order to install the giant TV smoothly, Xiaomi staff used a crane to move the TV in through the window. Sun Bo, after-sales operation manager of Xiaomi, said that this marked the beginning of the era of using cranes to provide services for Xiaomi.
According to information, the Redmi Smart TV MAX 98-inch is the largest Redmi TV to date. It is officially called a "cinema-level giant screen" with a screen-to-body ratio of 98.8%.
It uses 4K high resolution, NTSC 85% wide color gamut, 192-zone dynamic backlight, supports HDR, is equipped with the ninth-generation picture quality engine, and has more than 20 picture quality adjustment technologies, making the picture more delicate and the colors beautiful without distortion.
In addition, the Redmi Smart TV MAX 98-inch uses MEMC motion compensation technology to effectively solve the problems of trailing, jitter and ghosting when watching high-speed motion pictures on the giant screen, thereby improving the visual experience.
In terms of specifications, it is equipped with a 12nm Amlogic quad-core A55 processor, 4GB of memory + 64GB of storage, and built-in Xiao Ai. You can communicate with the TV by pressing the voice button on the remote control. It can answer any questions you want, such as today's weather, the movies you want to watch, and film and television encyclopedia. It can also control various smart home devices.
Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group China and general manager of Redmi brand, said that in the process of exploring 98-inch giant-screen TVs, Redmi found that many products had mediocre performance but were priced at more than 100,000 yuan, and the huge profits involved were unimaginable.
Lu Weibing emphasized that the Redmi Smart TV MAX 98-inch has higher-end product performance, continuing the 70-inch "same money, buy a bigger" pricing strategy, offering an ultimate cost-effectiveness of 19,999 yuan, fundamentally removing the threshold for users to purchase giant-screen TVs.
