Today, Huami Technology officially announced that Huami Technology and the team of Academician Zhong Nanshan will jointly build a wrist smart wearable joint laboratory! Together, we will promote the application research and achievement transformation of smart wearable products in respiratory health management.
Officials said that in response to the relevant requirements of the National Health Commission, Huami Technology (NYSE: HMI) has officially signed a cooperation framework agreement with the Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Health, led by Academician Zhong Nanshan, the National Clinical Research Center for Respiratory Diseases, and the Guangdong Nanshan Medical Innovation Institute. The three parties will jointly carry out the "Follow-up and Rehabilitation Management after Discharge of COVID-19" project based on the accumulation of Huami Technology's wrist wearable technology and artificial intelligence algorithms, and use the respiratory health big data platform of the National Clinical Research Center for Respiratory Diseases to conduct comprehensive management of exercise, sleep, heart rate, and rehabilitation prognosis for patients willing to participate in the project. In addition, a special project will be established for the prediction and early warning system of epidemic diseases, and joint research will be carried out.
Based on the COVID-19 rehabilitation management project and previous cooperation in the field of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, the three parties signed a framework agreement to establish a "Wrist Smart Wearable Joint Laboratory" to carry out joint research on respiratory diseases, epidemic diseases and other areas.
