The first batch of key projects in Lingang New Area were signed and started

On September 12, the first batch of key projects in the Lingang New Area were signed and started, with 23 projects signed and the total investment exceeding 11 billion yuan.

It is reported that the signed projects focus on key development industries such as integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, civil aviation, new energy vehicles, equipment manufacturing and green remanufacturing.

On August 20, the Lingang New Area of ​​the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone will be officially unveiled. At its construction mobilization meeting, 13 companies were awarded the latest business licenses for the new area, including Shanghai Suiyuan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai SMIC Semiconductor Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Mia Equipment Technology Co., Ltd.

Zhu Zhisong, deputy secretary-general of the Shanghai Municipal Government, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and executive deputy director of the Lingang New Area Management Committee, revealed that since the new area was unveiled, high-end industrial projects and headquarters companies are gathering faster. Recently, the new area management committee and various development companies are negotiating nearly 200 projects. Through preliminary negotiations, more than 70 reserve projects have been signed and implemented, involving a total investment of nearly 100 billion yuan.

Zhu Zhisong had previously stated that the construction goals of the new area include continuing to introduce high-level domestic and foreign projects on the basis of implementing 100 billion industrial projects this year, and striving to maintain a high growth rate of around 20%.

Judging from the latest data, the project target of 100 billion yuan may be completed ahead of schedule.

In addition, projects such as the high-end manufacturing industrial park and the new energy vehicle parts industrial park have been started in a concentrated manner.
