On August 29, Reuters released a report confirming that Huawei may launch the Mate 30 series of smartphones without including Google Play services.
This means that Huawei must build its own system and app store ecosystem based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). When new phones are released, they will not be pre-installed with apps such as the Google Play Store, Gmail, and YouTube.
Although Google services have little impact in China, for foreign consumers, this will be an important factor affecting their purchase of mobile phones. In addition, Reuters also reported that Google has submitted more than 130 applications to the US Department of Commerce to continue to do business with Huawei, but none of them have been approved.
In fact, this policy restriction of the United States will deal a major blow to both Huawei Mate 30 series smartphones and Google. As the world's second largest smartphone manufacturer, Huawei could have brought Google a large amount of Android licensing fees.
