Samsung Electronics' autumn flagship Galaxy Note10 has officially gone on sale in South Korea, with pre-orders breaking the record by reaching 1.3 million units. It is expected that sales will exceed 10 million units after the phone is launched globally on the 23rd.
According to the Korean media Seoul Economy, Samsung Electronics plans to launch the Galaxy Note10 in more than 70 countries including the United States, Canada, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australia, and the number will increase to more than 130 countries in early September. It is worth noting that during the pre-order period in South Korea, the Galaxy Note10 set a record of 1.3 million units in the Galaxy S and Note series, which has raised expectations from the outside world.
If we look at previous records, the sales of Note8 was 10.3 million units, and the sales of Note9 last year was 9.67 million units. It is generally expected that the sales of Galaxy Note10 will maintain a similar level as its predecessor. The securities industry estimates the sales volume to be 9.5 million units, while the market research company Counterpoint Research predicts the number to be 9.7 million units. The outside world is concerned about whether the good performance of Galaxy Note10 in South Korea can continue to the world.
In the Note series, Galaxy Note10 is the first to try to launch two sizes (6.3 inches and 6.8 inches), which not only expands the target audience, but also attracts many female consumers in their 20s in South Korea. In addition, Galaxy Note10 is equipped with a 7-nanometer processor and the series' unique stylus S-Pen, which has the function of remotely controlling the phone. In terms of entertainment, it also targets the preferences of millennials and is equipped with a variety of photo and video functions.
On the other hand, Samsung Electronics is also actively carrying out marketing activities around the world, including launching events in India, Chile, and Australia, as well as fan parties in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju and other places in South Korea.
