TSMC CFO Ho Li-mei to be in charge of Eurasian business, CFO to be replaced by Huang Ren-chao

TSMC, a wafer foundry, announced today (1) that senior vice president, CFO and spokesperson He Limei will be in charge of Eurasia business, and the former CFO and spokesperson positions will be taken over by deputy CFO Huang Renzhao. The industry interpreted this move as not only increasing internal personnel flexibility, but also strengthening business management.

TSMC pointed out that the job adjustment is expected to complete the statutory appointment procedures before the end of August this year and will take effect on September 1.

It is reported that Huang Renzhao graduated with a master's degree in business administration from Cornell University in the United States. In 2006, he was nominated by TSMC as a candidate for world-advanced director and supervisor in the name of legal representative. In March last year, he also took over as the director representative of WaferTech. In March this year, he took over the position of natural person director of TSMC Global, formerly held by He Limei. He has held many director or supervisory roles in TSMC's subsidiaries.

Ho Li-mei has long served as the company's spokesperson and is relatively familiar to the outside world. She used to work for Acer Semiconductor, and after TSMC acquired Acer in 1999, she became TSMC's accounting director. She was highly valued by TSMC founder Morris Chang and Acer founder Stan Shih.

Since July 2003, she has served as TSMC's CFO and spokesperson. This year, she was given the title of Senior Vice President of Eurasia Business. At that time, she told the media in a low-key manner that she was mainly responsible for sharing the work of the president. In fact, He Limei is also the chairman of TSMC Nanjing Company. In addition, she serves as a director and supervisor of many subsidiaries, so she is no stranger to the business.

Ho Li-mei was once selected as the best financial officer and one of the most influential women in the Asian technology industry. She can be said to be a representative of female power in the technology industry. She recently pointed out that Morris Chang affirmed that female executives are generally more considerate and warm, and TSMC will also significantly increase the number and proportion of female executives in the future.

Among the nearly 30 senior executives of TSMC's management team, He Limei is the only female senior vice president, ranking only after Chairman Liu Deyin and President Wei Zhejia. Other female vice presidents include Corporate Planning Sun Zhongping, Legal Affairs Guan Shuhua, and Human Resources Ma Huifan, only four of them, accounting for only about 13.8%.
