At the media communication meeting for the launch of China Mobile's 5G+ strategy, China Mobile announced that the delivery of 5G terminals exceeded 10,000 units for the first time.
Wang Hengjiang, deputy general manager of China Mobile Terminal Company, said that the 5G terminal products include 11 products in two categories: one is CPE (wireless router) and the other is mobile phones. The first batch of 5G mobile phone brands include Huawei, ZTE, Xiaomi and OV.
In addition, at the media communication meeting for the release of the 5G+ strategy, China Mobile's first 5G mobile phone under its own brand, the Pioneer X1, was also unveiled. The official expects that the phone will be available in August.
According to the official introduction, the Pioneer X1 uses a 6.47-inch flexible water drop screen with a resolution of up to FHD+ and an NTSC color gamut of 120%. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, built-in dual SmartPA, ultra-linear dual speakers, screen fingerprint technology, and three rear cameras.
As for the built-in battery capacity, storage capacity, front and rear camera parameters, price, etc. of the Pioneer X1, they are not yet known. We can only wait for more information to come out.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to the launch of China Mobile’s first 5G mobile phone under its own brand, the Pioneer X1, China Mobile’s unified 5G test package was also exposed.
The PPT shows that China Mobile's 5G test unified package includes 200G traffic/month, 1,000 minutes of voice/month, and 100 text messages/month. The specific price is unknown. Judging from the current 4G packages, China Mobile's 5G package will not be very cheap.
