Best Buy cancels all Galaxy Fold pre-orders

In an email to customers, Best Buy noted that "breakthrough design and technology bring many obstacles and may face a large number of unexpected problems. These obstacles have caused Samsung to delay the release of Galaxy Fold, and Samsung has not provided a new release date. We put our customers' experience first and want to ensure they get the best service, so Best Buy has decided to cancel all current pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy Fold."

A month ago, Samsung announced that it would indefinitely delay the release of the Galaxy Fold to address various issues with its review devices. AT&T had previously set the delayed release date as June 13, but the company later rescinded that forecast. Samsung announced earlier in May that it would also cancel orders from customers who had not confirmed that they needed to increase their orders by May 31 due to federal regulations.

In a statement released to The Verge, Samsung promised that it would set a new release date for the phone “in the coming weeks.” The company’s full statement is below:
