Acer's subsidiary Antos Technology announced that it will work with Visa Technology, an expert in the field of big data acceleration, to focus on the issue of human genome sequencing and officially launch a new solution at the BIO-IT Conference held in Boston, a major biotech center.

Li Zhanjie, general manager of Antos Technologies, said that the gene sequencing acceleration solution created by combining the gene sequencing algorithm technology developed by VisaTech and the high-performance Altos BrainSphere artificial intelligence computing platform of Antos Technology will enable more hospitals and research institutions to apply this key technology for human gene sequencing, making an important contribution to precision medicine.

VisaTech pointed out that by combining the high-performance Altos BrainSphere artificial intelligence server and Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) of Antos Technologies, optimizing the native BWA-MEM algorithm, and integrating the GATK best practice specifications, the analysis results can show consistent accuracy with the original software, reduce data processing time, and shorten the secondary analysis of germline pipeline. The processing time is greatly reduced from the original 33 hours to within 8 hours, effectively improving efficiency and achieving excellent results in shortening the time required for human gene sequencing.

Li Zhanjie pointed out that more and more customers have put forward the demand for the integration of big data analysis systems. This time, the company used its algorithm to integrate the Altos BrainSphere AI server and FPGA accelerator integration platform to launch a new gene sequencing solution. In addition to ensuring that the algorithm operates effectively and maintains consistent accuracy, it also greatly improves the computing speed, allowing hospital clinical research and medical research institutions to accelerate development in the biotechnology and medical fields.

The Antos R380 F4 has a built-in Antos FPGA accelerator, the industry's latest CPU, and 24 DDR4 memory slots and high-speed IO, which can complete data processing at an extraordinary speed. In addition, the use of 80 PLUS Titanium-level power supply improves overall energy efficiency.
