VIAVI Solutions has introduced a range of products and services designed to simplify and accelerate high-speed network testing at all stages of the production lifecycle: product design, validation and manufacturing, fiber monitoring and verification.
With these new products, VIAVI further expands its portfolio of the industry’s most complete test and measurement solutions, enabling testing of tomorrow’s networks, including 800G transmission and next-generation protocol testing, in today’s lab, production, and manufacturing environments.
VIAVI ONT 800G FLEX DCO Module - The industry's first fully integrated test product for pluggable digital coherent module development, validation and integration of 400G CFP2-DCO and 400GE QSFP-DD transponders (including 400ZR). The VIAVI 800G Flex DCO module provides key test and measurement capabilities to help manufacturers design and validate pluggable digital coherent optical modules.
MAP-300 interface for IL/RL testing with PCT solution - Based on the VIAVI MAP-300 platform, this new test interface supports passive component/connector test (PCT) applications for insertion loss (IL)/return loss (RL) testing and increases test speed by five times. Combined with the PCT control center, it forms a centralized test ecosystem that enables test data integration and management across the entire manufacturing floor.
OneAdvisor-1000 400GE Portable Network Tester - OneAdvisor-1000 is part of the world's most trusted family of handheld metro test solutions, giving field technicians 400GE testing capabilities to fully address metro/core, submarine and data center interconnect applications. In addition to fiber testing with OTDR, the solution also provides rate integration from 400GE to T1/E1, covering future technologies and all legacy protocols. It combines intuitive design, test process automation and cloud-based management to improve staff efficiency even in the face of increasing network complexity.
mOSX Modules – Built on more than 30 years of 1 xn switch technology, the new VIAVI OSX modules enable true parallel processing, further expanding the LightDirect family of configurable optical test solutions in MAP Systems and significantly improving capital utilization.
Onsite Calibration Service for Lab and Production Products – This service is available to customers of the VIAVI ONT and MAP portfolios, providing the convenience of professional validation and calibration services at the customer’s site, without the need to send the hardware to the factory for calibration, which can cause any downtime and inconvenience.
“Network performance requirements have never been more stringent, requiring precision testing of equipment from lab and production environments to the field,” said Tom Fawcett, vice president and general manager of lab and production at VIAVI. “As a recognized leader in fiber optic test and measurement, VIAVI is advancing next-generation network component test technology to accelerate time to market and ensure peak performance throughout the network lifecycle.”
