According to news on September 5, based on the latest technology patent approved by Apple, the design plan of the future iMac all-in-one machine was demonstrated. In Apple's vision, future iMacs will be equipped with a single piece of embedded curved glass for the screen.

This technology patent was first submitted to the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO) in 2019 and was approved in 2022. Apple also submitted an application in Europe in the same year, but it was only recently approved.

The patent for this technology, titled "Electronic Device with Glass Enclosure," explores the future of iMac through a single piece of curved glass.

According to the patent description, this single piece of curved glass has screens on both sides and a keyboard in the middle. The glass can be used as part of the iMac stand.

The key point is that the keyboard part in the middle of the iMac has a hollow design. Users can insert a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air notebook and then expand it to serve as an external screen for the MacBook.

In another design sketch shown by Apple, this single piece of curved glass can be folded to reduce space usage.
