High-end platform, leveraging the development of intelligent manufacturing
The Chengdu Robot Innovation Center has built "four platforms and one base" with high standards, namely the application innovation platform, technology innovation platform, pilot incubation platform, industry-education integration platform and talent training base. It integrates the innovation elements of the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain to provide all-round support for the development of intelligent manufacturing in the region.
As an application innovation platform, the center brings together well-known domestic and foreign industrial robot companies such as Yaskawa Electric, ABB, FANUC, Siemens, Estun, and Canopus . More than 300 sets of intelligent manufacturing equipment have been put into use, covering welding, handling, grinding, logistics and other fields, building a "robot + industry" collaborative innovation platform.
In addition, the center and universities focus on promoting technological innovation in the fields of intelligent perception and control, digital design and industrial software, precision drive and transmission, and creating a first-class robot technology experiment and service platform. This deep integration model of industry, academia and research combines the "source of living water" and "end demand" of robot innovation, realizes the efficient flow of innovation elements, and is conducive to the formation of a benign innovation ecology.
At present, although my country's robotics industry has maintained rapid growth overall, there are still significant shortcomings in core technologies. The establishment of the innovation center will alleviate this predicament to a certain extent.
On the one hand, through in-depth cooperation with universities, the center will focus on overcoming key core technology problems and cultivating independent innovation capabilities. At the same time, the pilot incubation platform and policy and financial support will provide better channels for innovation entities to transform their achievements.
On the other hand, the center will play a role in aggregation and radiation, attracting more industry-leading companies to set up here, further integrating resources, building a leading domestic robot cluster, and giving birth to an influential robot industry ecosystem.
