OFweek Cup · OFweek 2023 China Robot Industry Annual Selection (abbreviated as OFweek Robot Awards 2023) is jointly organized by OFweek, China's high-tech industry portal, and its authoritative robot professional media - OFweek Robot. Product Introduction:
Next generation core controller for service robots
(1) The design of a general hardware computing platform for service robots based on the RK3588 single board was realized, and the core driver module was developed. Only one main controller was needed to complete the control, algorithm and interaction capabilities, which simplified the hardware architecture and reduced the hardware cost and system complexity.
(2) The Android OS and Linux dual-system compatibility was achieved based on this general computing platform, with operating system-level interrupt latency and scheduling latency within 100 μs and ZeroCopy that reduces message transmission data copy by more than 95%, improving the performance of basic software;
(3) Supports four distributed data communication protocols including ROS DDS/Web DDS/RCEP-DDS/ROS-Bridge, which can support real-time control and improve the timeliness of control and the performance of the overall robot;
(4) Support the productized ROS2 system;
(5) Realize the commercial application of self-developed systems, which are installed on the general motion platform of service robots and can provide a complete reference design of SLAM, navigation algorithms, and human-computer interaction systems.

Relying on the transformation of technological achievements of the Institute of Software of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute is committed to breakthroughs in key core technologies and promoting the implementation of robot + application scenarios based on robot operating systems and core controllers. It has successfully applied for Chengdu science and technology projects such as key technologies and application demonstrations of medical service robot operating systems and service robot virtualization multi-system platforms; in order to enable digital upgrades and promote industrial development, it has implemented multiple projects around "robot +" smart warehousing/smart factories and other smart manufacturing application multi-scenario solutions.

(1) Real-time kernel: Strong real-time guarantee technology at multiple levels, including kernel mechanism, operating environment, and functional component design requirements, to achieve microsecond-level interrupt task scheduling delay and task switching requirements;
(2) Technological innovation: integrating laser and visual assistance to achieve positioning technology in large scenes, and anti-dynamic interference navigation technology to achieve humanized local obstacle avoidance technology;
(3) Standardized design: Standardized design of the robot operating system, including standardization of hardware peripheral interfaces and functional component interfaces;
(4) Modular design: Functional modules can be flexibly configured according to the needs of different scenarios, supporting plug-and-play of multiple drive components and sensor components, and supporting both X86 and ARM processors;
Localization: Some interactive terminal functions can be transplanted to the OpenHarmony system to achieve the localization of software and hardware systems.
