On December 28, 2023, the signing ceremony of the joint strategic investment between Qiaotian Intelligent and Midea Capital was successfully held in the Qiaotian Intelligent Building. The funds from this round of financing will be used for product research and development, market development and industrial chain construction.
Liu Xiaoping, founder of Qiaotian Intelligence, said that there are many types of robot terminal application equipment, and they were previously mainly monopolized by foreign manufacturers. There are deficiencies in product iteration speed, service response efficiency, and customer demand customization, and there is a strong demand for domestic substitution. When Qiaotian Intelligence was first established in 2016, it mainly focused on the quick-change device at the end of the robot. After four years of exploration and precipitation, Qiaotian Intelligent's quick-change products have entered mainstream OEMs since 2020 and have obtained certifications from industry authorities such as TüV, CE, and ISO.
At present, Qiaotian Intelligent has formed two major product systems, including robot terminal solutions and connection and switching solutions. The products include quick-change discs, end grippers, industrial connectors, and magnetic mold changing systems, etc., which can be widely used in automobile OEMs, parts manufacturers, consumer electronics, semiconductors, aerospace and other industries, and are committed to creating value for customers' flexible production.
Taking electrode cap shaping as an example, in the welding process of the automotive industry and other scenarios, the electrode cap needs to be shaped at high frequency to remove the harder oxide layer and ensure stable flow capacity. Previously, the electrode cap trimming machine commonly used adopted the traditional cutting process. The large amount of grinding shortened the life of the electrode cap and required frequent replacement, which affected production efficiency and spare parts costs, and easily caused unstable weld quality.
In this regard, the electrode cap shaping machine developed by Qiaotian Intelligent uses a grinding process and a two-stage shaping mode, which can effectively increase the life of the electrode cap, thereby reducing the frequency of cap replacement, improving production efficiency and welding quality. At present, Qiaotian Intelligent Shaping Machine has completed research and development and passed downstream customer tests, and has entered the mass production stage.
In order to develop products with high technical barriers, Qiaotian Intelligence has joined hands with the key laboratory team of Shanghai Jiaotong University to study the pain points of robot use in terminal scenarios, actively promote and develop high-tech new products and realize commercialization.
At the same time, Qiaotian Intelligent also develops new product solutions based on the core needs of downstream customers, and expands more application scenarios and customers. A typical example is the magnetic mold changing system, which can replace the traditional injection mold changing method, reducing the mold changing time that originally took several hours to ten minutes, greatly improving production efficiency.
In terms of market development, Qiaotian Intelligent has currently reached cooperation with leading customers in multiple industries, including BYD, Geely, Huichuan, Midea, Hongqi, CATL, Yanfeng, KUKA, etc., covering new energy vehicles, 3C electronics, semiconductors, aerospace and other fields. At the same time, in order to ensure the quality of products and services, Qiaotian Intelligent has deployed after-sales teams in Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Changchun, Wuhan and other cities to improve the response speed and on-site efficiency before and after sales.

Since the last round of financing, Qiaotian Intelligent has further strengthened the core team management system and digital office construction, and accelerated the research and development and mass production of new categories of robot terminal application equipment. This year's revenue still maintained a large increase compared with last year.
