Recently, Xiaomi announced that its new generation of all-round sweeping and mopping robot M30 Pro under the Mijia brand has officially been launched. This product upgrade focuses on two major selling points: "hair cutting" and AI algorithm improvement, and has innovated the two major user pain points of long hair entanglement and environmental recognition.
With the support of new technologies and new functions, M30 Pro has taken sweeping and mopping integration to a higher level.
One-stop solution to hair entanglement problems
For families with pets, pet hair stuck on floors and furniture surfaces is the most troublesome problem. They are easily entangled in the brushes and gears of sweeping and mopping robots, seriously affecting the cleaning effect and shortening the life of the equipment. The M30 Pro base is integrated with a high-strength stainless steel cutting module, which can actively "cut off" the entangled hair and suck it away with strong airflow, solving the problem of hair entanglement in one stop.
Specifically, the cutting module of M30 Pro includes a high-speed rotating roller and a linear reciprocating parabolic knife. The two cutters work together to cut off the tangled long hair within 1 minute. The hair will not fly around during the cutting process, but will be sucked into the dust box by the suction port of the base. This saves users the trouble of cleaning the roller brush and disassembling the hair removal, greatly reducing the burden of use.
AI obstacle avoidance and recognition algorithms have been fully upgraded, greatly improving the cleaning experience
The M30 Pro also has many innovations in algorithm optimization, which has brought its environmental recognition and obstacle avoidance performance to a new level. This is mainly based on MiRAI, a hybrid deep learning framework independently developed by Xiaomi, which can process multimodal data including voice, images, and videos, and realize collaborative computing between the cloud and the terminal, greatly improving the level of intelligent environmental perception and decision-making.
The M30 Pro can achieve human-level image recognition. It has a total of 55 built-in image data sets of common items in daily life, including slippers, socks, sofas, charging cables, etc. When encountering these obstacles, it can quickly identify and actively avoid them, minimizing the possibility of collision and rolling.
In addition, the M30 Pro can identify different types of garbage and dirt on the ground, and ensure that they are completely removed through repeated cleaning, leaving no dead corners or omissions.
The above algorithm optimization makes M30 Pro the most intelligent representative in Xiaomi's sweeping and mopping robot product line. It far exceeds the ability of traditional products of the same price level that only rely on basic obstacle avoidance, and can actively identify obstacles and stains in many complex environments. This deep improvement in intelligence will greatly reduce the user's operating burden and provide a better intelligent sweeping and mopping experience.
Hot water washing and drying, eliminating the trouble of hand washing
In addition to sweeping and vacuuming, the M30 Pro has also made significant improvements in mopping. Its standard mop module supports hot water washing and drying functions. Hot water with a temperature of up to 60°C can fully dissolve stains, especially grease and garbage such as sauces. Compared with cold water, this can reduce the number of times the mop is reused and extend its service life.
On the other hand, the base of the M30 Pro has a built-in quick drying function, which uses electric heating wire to heat the air and can dry the mop in as fast as 2 hours. This saves users the trouble of waiting for it to dry naturally, and they don’t need to wash or dry it by themselves.
Built by Xiaomi's ecological chain, it can be linked with other smart devices
In addition to its own performance improvements, as a member of the Xiaomi ecosystem, the M30 Pro can also be interconnected with other Xiaomi smart hardware.
For example, by cooperating with Xiaomi's automated multi-module door lock, it is possible to realize the automated scenario of "automatically starting to clean the whole house when the owner goes out", thanks to the fact that both are based on Xiaomi's unified IoT open platform and linkage framework.
The launch of M30 Pro reflects Xiaomi's continued growth in the field of smart hardware. In the future, we can expect more and better products to emerge to empower smart life.
