Recently, ABB launched the new IRB 930 to expand its SCARA robot portfolio . IRB 930 has three models with payloads of up to 12kg and 22kg , fully meeting the growth needs of traditional and emerging markets.
The SCARA robots launched by ABB further enrich our product portfolio and provide customers with more automation options. Whether it is
3C
,
,
electric vehicle battery cells
or
solar panels
, IRB 930 can bring the performance advantages of ABB's wider SCARA robot portfolio to emerging industries and traditional market segments with its higher payload and larger working range.
It is predicted that the global SCARA robot market will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 14.4% per year and reach a market size of US$15.54 billion by 2027[1]. With its excellent performance, IRB 930 has laid a good foundation for ABB's future development.
Designed for fast point-to-point jump tasks that require high payloads and large work areas , the IRB 930 SCARA robot is available in three models that offer the highest payloads among similar SCARA robots.
IRB 930 is available in three options:
In addition, by increasing the number and weight of workpieces processed in a single operation, the capacity of the 22kg load selection can be increased by 10% . The IRB 930 also has excellent down force (maximum down force of 250N), which is 200% higher than similar products , making it very suitable for precision press-fitting operations such as screw tightening and assembly tasks of components such as batteries, display panels and solar modules .
The new IRB 930 robot will be equipped with ABB’s Omne . It also provides best-in-class motion control capabilities with TrueMove and QuickMove, as well as built-in digital connectivity and scalability. This excellent motion control capability can achieve a cycle time of up to 0.38 seconds and a repeatability of 0.01 mm , enabling the IRB 930 to increase hourly productivity while maintaining high-quality manufacturing standards.
The new IRB 930 , along with the IRB 910INV, IRB 920 and IRB 920T , completes ABB’s SCARA robot portfolio to meet customer needs for payloads from 3kg to 22kg . These high-performance SCARA robots are designed for industries such as packaging and manufacturing that require high-speed, high-repeatability pick-and-place and assembly operations.
