According to the press conference, the 2023 China Competition and RoboCup Robot World Cup China Competition will be held in Jinjiang, Fujian from October 13 to 15. As a regional event of the RoboCup Robot World Cup, this event was first held by the Chinese Automation Society in 1999.

Since 2006, the competition has been combined with the "China Robot Competition" and named "China Robot Competition and RoboCup Robot World Cup China Competition", and has been successfully held for 24 sessions. More than 200 colleges and universities have participated in the competitions, and more than 3,000 contestants have participated.

This year's robot competition will have 5 major events and 11 minor events in the RoboCup Youth Group (RCJ), 2 major events and 6 minor events in the RoboCup University Group, and 19 major events and 46 minor events in the China Robot Competition Zone.

In addition, there are RCJ football robots, RCJ rescue robots, children's robot competitions, ITC innovative design competitions, reconnaissance pioneers, RoboCup football robots, RoboCup rescue teams, basketball robots, robot advanced vision competitions, automatic sorting robots, FIRA small groups, service robots, robot tourism, medical robots, martial arts competitions, dance robots, engineering competitive robots, elderly service robots, underwater robots, rescue robots, medium-sized group competitions, quadruped bionic robots, agricultural robots, car challenges, challenge competitions, and innovative and creative competitions, totaling 26 major events and 63 minor events, with 6 major events and 14 sub-events added compared to previous years.

During the competition, Jinjiang will hold a series of supporting activities with the concept of "promoting production, developing the city and retaining talents through competition" to promote the industrial development of Jinjiang City, including expert enterprise research, cultural tourism, industrial consumption and tourism.

Jinjiang will invite Wang Yaonan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and other industry experts to give keynote speeches and technology promotions to smart manufacturing companies, and jointly explore the application of robotics in various fields such as production, medical services, education, and logistics. Through these activities, Jinjiang hopes to stimulate the innovative vitality of enterprises in the research and development and application of robotics technology, and help Jinjiang's industry accelerate transformation and upgrading. This has positive significance for improving industrial competitiveness and attracting talents.

According to statistics, this year's competition attracted 1,084 teams from 260 colleges and universities and 89 teams from 49 primary and secondary schools, with a total of 5,426 participants. Whether it is the number of colleges and universities, the number of participating teams or the number of participants, it has set a record in the history of the event.
