Wuba Intelligent Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. is about to release the first large-scale ostrich-like bipedal robot product in China, "Monkey King".

"The Great Sage" shocking release

"Monkey King" is designed to meet the growing domestic demand for scientific research, education and industrial exploration of bipedal robots, filling the gap in large-scale ostrich-like bipedal robot products. As a high-performance and highly expandable scientific research and education platform, it provides users with a broad space for imagination.

The overall design concept of "Monkey King" is derived from the fastest bipedal animal on earth - the ostrich. It is 1.15 meters tall and weighs 30kg (10% lighter than the internationally advanced robot Cassie), and can walk at a speed of 4.5km/h. With its physiological structure and movement method that imitates that of an ostrich, "Monkey King" has the ability to adapt to complex terrain environments such as grass and gravel and a walking endurance of more than 2 hours. "Monkey King" has outstanding dynamic impact resistance during movement, and its dynamic anti-disturbance impulse-to-mass ratio reaches 0.4 Ns/kg, which is the leading level in China.

Adapt to outdoor grass

Suitable for outdoor hard ground

Adapt to the urban outdoor ground environment

Suitable for gravel roads and common uneven roads outdoors

The "Monkey King" R&D team adheres to the concept that bipedal robots must first "walk steadily" and "walk well" before they can be "applied in scenarios", and has devoted themselves to exploring the key technologies for bipedal robots to walk steadily and well. They have completed the entire technical chain including the independent design of integrated joints, the design of rigid-flexible coupling transmission mechanisms, high-performance real-time communication systems, and bipedal dynamic balance control. The deployment and application of these technologies support the "Monkey King" to "walk steadily" and "walk well", and help users quickly enter the "scenario application" stage of exploration.

Adapt to non-fixed ground obstacles (maximum obstacle height 4cm)

Rapid recovery under external disturbance

Fast walking

Dragging cargo

"Dasheng" is an excellent scientific research and education platform that supports peripheral expansion and secondary development, opens the underlying sensor and control interface to universities and research institutions, and provides reliable platform support for research and industrial application exploration in the fields of motion control, intelligent perception, positioning and navigation. Relying on the common platform of "Dasheng", Wuba Intelligent Technology will try to build an ecosystem for sharing bipedal robot technology and exploring industrial applications, and work with users to promote the advancement of bipedal robot technology and industrial applications.

Currently, the research team is designing the upper body of the robot based on the Digit robot from the American company Agility Robotics. By adding lightweight bionic arms and claws, the team aims to improve the "Monkey King's" ability to climb, operate dextrously, and perform human-machine collaborative operations.

"Monkey King" will be officially unveiled at the 2023 World Robot Conference and its dynamic performance will be demonstrated on site. Experts and colleagues are welcome to visit the site for guidance and exchanges.
