On September 26, UAI Robotics jointly established the mobile robot insurance ecological partner circle with China Mobile Robotics (AGV/AMR) Industry Alliance, China Reinsurance, PICC Property & Casualty Insurance and Dinghe Property & Casualty Insurance, aiming to open and share the newly opened "fast track" of mobile robot insurance to the entire mobile robot industry, jointly expand the application boundaries, accelerate the implementation of the industry, and promote the construction of industrial intelligence. Li Jinke, Secretary General of China Mobile Robotics (AGV/AMR) Industry Alliance, Zhang Zhaohui, Founder and CEO of UAI Robotics, Ling Yun, General Manager of China Reinsurance Shenzhen Branch, Guo Xing, Assistant General Manager of PICC Property & Casualty Insurance Shenzhen Branch, Liu Feng, Assistant General Manager of Dinghe Property & Casualty Insurance Shenzhen Branch, and other leaders and corporate representatives attended the signing ceremony.
Under the national "intelligent manufacturing" strategy, the mobile robot market has expanded rapidly and has become an indispensable infrastructure for the construction of smart factories. Led by leading companies in the industry, building a robust and complete industry application service guarantee system has been put on the agenda.
Previously, UAI Robotics took the lead in launching the first commercial insurance for mobile robots in China, "Mobile Robot Quality Liability Insurance", in cooperation with China Reinsurance, PICC Property and Casualty Insurance and Dinghe Property and Casualty Insurance, setting a precedent for the commercial insurance of industrial mobile robots. The insurance mainly covers risks such as thermal runaway, mechanical and electrical risks. In addition, it expands network insurance as an additional insurance to compensate for data recovery caused by hacker attacks and losses caused by software repair, optimization and upgrade, realizing the innovation of robot insurance model in the intelligent era.
"In recent years, the development of the mobile robot market has entered the fast lane. With the large-scale application and deployment of the mobile robot industry in various industries, there is an urgent need for a complete insurance system to match it." Li Jinke, Secretary-General of the China Mobile Robot (AGV/AMR) Industry Alliance, introduced that mobile robot commercial insurance is led by leading companies in the industry and will replicate and extend UAI's successful experience to the upstream and downstream industries of mobile robots. This is of great significance to improving the robot service guarantee system, jointly building a stable industrial production ecosystem, and promoting the high-quality development of the mobile robot industry.
As the first company to insure mobile robots on a large scale, Zhang Zhaohui, CEO of UAI, said that at present, UAI mobile robots have been deployed on a large scale in the fields of semiconductors, 3C, lithium batteries, etc., engaging in industrial production activities together with humans, and shouldering the important responsibility of continuous and stable production and operation of enterprises. "UAI plays more of a role of 'responsibility co-bearer'. While helping enterprises to improve production efficiency and benefits, it also protects them from potential risks, lowers the threshold for intelligent transformation of the manufacturing industry, and makes mobile robots truly an advanced and reliable productivity."
Guo Xing, assistant general manager of PICC Property and Casualty Insurance Shenzhen Branch, believes that the mobile robot industry is continuously promoting the transformation and development of traditional manufacturing, logistics, new energy, electricity and many other industries to achieve low-carbon emission reduction. Designing appropriate insurance plans for the mobile robot industry and transferring major risks in the industry are of great significance to the implementation of the country's low-carbon transformation strategy. PICC Property and Casualty Insurance Shenzhen Branch fully implements the national "intelligent manufacturing" development strategy and "dual carbon" energy goals, escorts the development of the real economy with high-quality innovation, and ensures the advancement of the intelligent construction of the country's second-class industries.
Ling Yun, general manager of China Reinsurance (P&C) Shenzhen Branch, believes that based on the mobile robot insurance project, deepening the collaboration between insurance companies and mobile robot companies, industry alliances, government departments and other parties will help give full play to the role of insurance companies as the main channel of reinsurance, provide professional insurance and reinsurance solutions for mobile robot insurance business, and help the country's transformation to intelligent manufacturing and low-carbon emission reduction.
Liu Feng, assistant general manager of Dinghe Insurance Shenzhen Branch, believes that the insurance + smart manufacturing + green model is an effective, beneficial and win-win risk protection model in the smart manufacturing industry ecosystem. The implementation of this robot quality liability insurance is based on the risk awareness of the mobile robot industry. It is a successful and beneficial attempt by multiple parties to jointly carry out research and overcome various difficulties to provide new risk protection for the innovative development of the smart manufacturing industry. It will definitely have a far-reaching impact on the healthy ecosystem of the entire smart manufacturing industry.
The first mobile robot insurance policy is a symbol of the formation of a cooperative model in which all parties in the mobile robot industry share responsibilities. This move will undoubtedly usher in a new era of intelligent manufacturing. "Smart factories are not only an upgrade of the manufacturing model, but also a reconstruction of productivity and production relations. When mobile robots, as advanced productivity, burst out with huge value in deep scenes in various industries, we can expect that a world of harmonious coexistence between humans and machines is coming soon." Zhang Zhaohui said.
