The OPC UA gateway can currently convert PLC protocols such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Delta, and Omron into OPC UA, supports remote OPEN VPN, and can realize remote upload and download of PLC. The PLC to OPC UA gateway supports one RS485 or 232, one WAN port, and one LAN port, which is convenient for accessing PLCs of various brands and models.
So how do you convert PLC to OPC UA? You only need to find the OPC UA option in the data service of the configuration software of our OPC UA gateway device BL102, click Enable, and fill in the relevant parameters.
Operation steps:
(1) Double-click "OPC UA" to pop up the OPC UA configuration box.
(2) Click the Enable button to enable OPC UA. Default: Off. Gray means: Not enabled, green means: Enabled.
(3) Network port: Select the "WAN" port, because this example connects to the R40 router through the WAN port. Click "WAN" and check the IP address of the WAN port: 192.168.1.164.
(4) Port: OPC UA port, default: 4840.
(5) Anonymous: Enable, indicating that no user name is required to connect.
(6) User, Password: User name and user password. Since no user connection is enabled, no need to fill in.
(7) Security policy: Select whether OPC UA encrypts the connection. In this example, no encryption connection is selected.
(8) Certificate, PrivateKey: OPC UA certificate and key. Since no encryption connection is selected, no certificate and key need to be uploaded.
(9) Click "OK" to confirm the OPC UA configuration.
(10) Click "Write Configuration" and OPC UA will be enabled after the gateway device restarts.
The BL102 gateway provides data to the outside world as an OPC UA server. The data collected by KEPServerEX6 is shown in the figure below:
