Toys are indispensable in childhood, and modern people grow up with smart toys. Compared with traditional toys, high-end toys are novel, diverse, and technological, and have a sense of luxury that traditional toys do not have.
Electronic children's toys have the following characteristics:
1. Reduce the difficulty of using toys;
2. Easier to attract children's attention;
3. It is beneficial for children to learn and broaden their horizons.
In summary, electronic children's toys have great development potential and a large market. The following is an introduction to the design of Waytronic's WT2003HX chip in children's electronic toys.
1. Main control chip
WT2003HX is a powerful high-quality voice chip, using a high-performance 32-bit processor, the highest frequency can reach 120MHz, with low cost, low power consumption, high reliability, strong general performance, etc. For electronic children's toys, WT2003HX has the following advantages:
1. Supports up to 128Mbit external Flash.
2. Audio output supports SPK and DAC output. (DAC output occupies one IO port)
3. Support high-quality audio format for voice, and the audio bit rate supports 8kbps~320kbps.
4. An infrared remote control decoder.
5. 16-bit high-precision ADC and DAC.
6. High-power IO driving capability, up to 64ma can be directly driven.
7. Four-channel PWM output.
Customers can choose the appropriate Flash for the product according to the size of the built-in voice of the product. Weichuang Zhiyin also has various sizes of Flash models to choose from. The audio output can be selected according to the volume requirements of the customer, SPK or DAC output, where the DAC output has adjustable gain. Weichuang Zhiyin also provides the corresponding power amplifier chip and corresponding circuit. Among them, the infrared remote control decoder, ADC, DAC and PWM output can be used by customers according to product requirements. The customer's novel ideas combined with Weichuang Zhiyin's powerful chips can design more popular toy products in the market.
2. Reference plan
①The schematic diagram of the infrared remote control toy solution is shown in Figure 2.1:

In this solution, infrared remote control decoding is used, with up to 21 decoding buttons. Customers can use the actual remote control to control, with accurate decoding and fast response. It also includes a motor driver chip, which controls the forward and reverse rotation of the motor and the speed adjustment through PWM output. For battery products, the WT2003HX chip can detect low voltage and use low-battery voice broadcast to remind users to replace batteries. Toys controlled by infrared decoding, combined with motors and other peripherals, still have great development potential.

In this solution, the MCU and its peripheral circuits are simple and low-cost as shown below:
1) Five touch buttons
2) Motor circuit
3) Three common IO buttons
4) Charging and charging detection circuit
5) PWM breathing light
6) Microphone recording circuit
3. Conclusion
In general, the WT2003HX chip has a good performance in electronic children's toys. The four-channel PWM output can well control the breathing light, motor, servo and scenes that require pulse width modulation, and also provide possibilities for the development direction and novelty of toys. The WT2003HX is connected to a simple MIC circuit and supports recording at a maximum sampling rate of 24K. Parents can leave recordings in the toys, and children can also feel the care of their parents when playing with the toys. Secondly, in terms of power consumption, Waytronic Zhiyin has a very good control over the power consumption of battery products. The power consumption of ordinary chips in sleep mode and using Waytronic Zhiyin's MIC circuit is at the microampere level.
