Far-infrared night vision (thermal imaging system): Some people also call it passive infrared night vision technology, which mainly uses the infrared radiation emitted by the object itself to form an image, which is what everyone calls thermal imaging. The thermal imaging system is based on the difference in infrared emissivity formed by the temperature difference between the target and the background. It uses radiation temperature measurement technology to measure the radiation intensity of the target point by point to form a thermal image of the visible target. Its theoretical working band is between 1-14um, but generally far-infrared night vision mainly uses short waves (3μm-5μm) and long waves (8μm-14μm).

Among them, low-light night vision needs to be improved from CMOS and algorithm, while infrared night vision needs to be equipped with a special infrared lens to ensure the entry of infrared light. In addition, low-light night vision can see color pictures, while infrared cannot do color.

3D Sensing: Facial Recognition and Driver Monitoring

With the continuous evolution of automobile intelligence, the demand for automotive lenses to quickly sense and deeply identify the surrounding environment of the vehicle body has been raised. The automotive lens needs to interpret environmental information while simultaneously achieving the effect of depth measurement. As the mainstream technical solutions for 3D sensing, structured light and TOF technology have become the hot spots for technical research and development of major automotive lens manufacturers.

At present, 3D sensing technology is mainly used in the interior of the cockpit, for example, the driver monitoring system has been increasingly valued in recent years. In addition, the driver's identity can be determined through face recognition, and the cockpit can be adjusted according to personal usage habits, and even anti-theft functions can be realized.


Human-computer interaction: gesture control

The human-computer interaction function in the car is reflected in the face recognition, fatigue detection, gesture recognition, attention monitoring and driving behavior analysis realized by the built-in car camera. In the market environment where the smart cockpit is gradually emerging, the market demand for car cameras with deep interaction capabilities will further increase.
