Mouser now stocks NXP i.MX RT106S crossover processor for embedded local voice assistant applications
August 20, 2021 – Mouser Electronics, an authorized global distributor with the latest semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the new i.MX RT106S crossover processor from NXP Semiconductors. Featuring an advanced implementation of the Arm® Cortex®-M7 core, this processor delivers the high CPU performance and real-time responsiveness required for embedded local voice assistant applications as well as IoT, smart industrial, and smart home applications.
The NXP i.MX RT106S processor, available from Mouser, is part of the EdgeVerse™ edge computing platform. The processor runs at up to 600MHz, has 1MB of on-chip SRAM, and supports advanced multimedia for GUI and enhanced HMI applications. The i.MX RT106S processor has been licensed to run a range of NXP's holistic voice assistant software solutions, providing engineers with a variety of functions and features, such as a phoneme-based speech recognition engine. The processor achieves real-time low-latency responses as low as 20ns while also having low power consumption.
To support designers in quickly and easily adding voice assistant capabilities to new product designs, Mouser also stocks the NXP SLN-LOCAL2-IOT solution for local voice control. Featuring an onboard i.MX RT106S processor and an automatic speech recognition engine that supports more than 100 voice commands, the solution eliminates cloud-based computing and provides a privacy-first solution for offline voice assistants. The SLN-LOCAL2-IOT solution provides a cost-optimized reference design and a production-ready software development kit to shorten time to market and reduce development effort.
As a global authorized distributor, Mouser Electronics stocks a wide range of semiconductors and electronic components, and actively introduces new original products to support delivery at any time. Mouser aims to supply customers with fully certified original products and provide full manufacturer traceability. To help customers accelerate design, Mouser's website provides a rich technical resource library, including a technical resource center, product data sheets, supplier-specific reference designs, application notes, technical design information, design tools, and other useful information.
