There have been rumors that the entry-level AirPods 3 will look a lot like the current AirPods Pro. Recently, the media released photos of what are said to be AirPods 3, revealing what the next generation of Apple headphones will look like and even what functions they will have.

AirPods 3 do look a lot like AirPods Pro, and their charging case will also be wider and narrower than the current charging case used by AirPods, more similar to the charging case of AirPods Pro, but not as wide as AirPods Pro. This raises the question, will Apple change the current appearance design of AirPods Pro to distinguish it?
The difference between AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro is that the design of the heat dissipation holes can balance the pressure, so that the earphones will not feel uncomfortable when worn for a longer time.
It is not clear what the ear tips of AirPods 3 will look like. Currently, AirPods Pro comes with silicone ear tips that can isolate noise, while ordinary Apple headphones AirPods do not. The latest AirPods 3 pictures do not have ear tips, but it shows that the next generation of Apple headphones will provide ear tips.
In addition, the report also stated that AirPods 3 will introduce Spatial Audio, which is unique to AirPods Pro. This means that users will get multi-channel surround sound effects like in a movie theater when watching movies or programs on Pad or iPhone. Spatial audio comes with dynamic head tracking technology, which can make users feel immersive anywhere in the space.
If this is true, then the main difference between AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro will be the active noise cancellation offered by AirPods Pro.
The new Apple headphones may be released as early as March 2021, so consumers should not have to wait too long. In addition to the design, the price and specific name of the next-generation Apple headphones are still unknown. If the new product is a direct replacement for the current AirPods, then Apple will stick with the AirPods name. But if the new headphones are between the current AirPods Pro and AirPods, they may also be named AirPods Plus.
