After vivoTWS, vivo released a new smart wearable device - vivoWATCH, which is the second smart wearable device under vivo. eWisetech had to disassemble one. vivoWATCH has two versions, 46mm and 42mm, and uses two kinds of straps made of Nappa leather and Fluoroelastomer. The one we purchased and disassembled is the 46mm, black fluororubber version.
Before disassembling, you naturally need to experience it a little.
The vivoWATCH 46mm version has a 1.39-inch AMLOED screen (454x454 resolution, 326PPI), equipped with an ST micro-control chip + Apollo ultra-low power coprocessor. According to the official introduction, it has a built-in 5-core optical heart rate and blood oxygen sensor, a six-axis acceleration sensor, a gyroscope, a pressure and altitude sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, an ambient light sensor, and supports NFC and Bluetooth 5.0.
The above configuration means that vivoWATCH supports four major satellite positioning systems (GPS+GLONASS+GALILEO+Beidou), supports 5ATM waterproof, and can be used for public transportation and access control. According to the introduction, compared with the common single/dual PD sensor design, the optical heart rate sensor of vivoWATCH consists of 5 PD sensors and 2 LEDs, with higher integration and larger signal receiving area. We will see the specific results after the actual product is disassembled.
Download the APP "vivo Sports Health" and scan the QR code to connect. The APP interface is simple and is divided into health, sports, equipment, and mine. As a current smartwatch, the most prominent function is sports health. In addition to the aforementioned monitoring of related health data, vivoWATCH supports 11 sports modes, automatically identifies the exercise status, and reminds users to connect to the corresponding sports mode.
After a simple experience, vivoWATCH is very similar to Huawei watchGT, focusing on health, sports and long battery life. Like many smart watches, it does not support the download of third-party apps. However, vivoWATCH supports Bluetooth, and independent music playback can be achieved through Bluetooth headphones.
In terms of appearance design, the entire vivoWATCH series uses 316L stainless steel for the body and ceramic for the bezel. It has a conventional round dial design. There are two buttons on the right side, the upper button is the menu button, and the lower button is the quick start button.
The optical sensor area of the bottom cover of vivoWATCH uses 3D curved glass to ensure comfort even when the bottom cover is in contact with the wrist for a long time.
As the first smartwatch under vivo, the appearance of vivoWATCH adopts the most acceptable classic design, and the material of the watch is also very textured. Although the hardware and software are not perfect, it is also a good product in the field of domestic smartwatches. In the later stage, we will disassemble it to see its internal components and workmanship. Maybe it will bring different views, so let's wait and see.
