"What is the core of the Industrial Internet? It is the identification resolution system, which is equivalent to the domain name resolution system of the Internet. With it, everything on the Internet can be found, where it comes from and where it goes." said Wang Baihua, Executive President of Inspur Group.

At the Nanjing Software Expo, Wang Baihua urged, "Local governments and industry-leading companies should quickly apply for secondary nodes," because "grabbing a secondary node is equivalent to grabbing a toll station on a future highway. The highway is not built by you, but the toll station is yours."

The industrial Internet identification resolution system is a key hub for achieving information exchange among all industrial elements and links. By assigning an identification to each object and using the industrial Internet identification resolution system, cross-regional, cross-industry, and cross-enterprise information query and sharing can be achieved. At present, the national top-level nodes of the industrial Internet identification resolution have been deployed and launched in five major cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, and Wuhan. The construction of secondary nodes has also been launched in Foshan, Guiyang, Beijing, Wuhan and other places. At the same time, a number of secondary nodes are also being built in the automotive, machinery manufacturing, aerospace, shipbuilding, electronics, food, high-speed train and other industries.

Beware of new industrial islands.
Currently, the industry generally refines the four major scenarios of the Industrial Internet, including intelligent production, personalized customization, networked collaboration, and service extension. However, Wang Baihua believes that the biggest problem in these four application scenarios is that they are establishing independent connections under the guise of the Industrial Internet. It is wrong for an enterprise to build a small circle around the upstream and downstream and call it the Industrial Internet. "The real Industrial Internet should be that everyone connects everything to the same bus."

Connection is still the biggest problem. In an interview with reporters, Wang Baihua was very worried about this: "If the field is interconnected, the upstream and downstream are interconnected, but not fully interconnected, just like in the past, we may be creating industrial islands." At present, the country is building identity resolution, but he advocates that local governments and enterprises should take the initiative to invest in construction and support the industrial Internet together. If nodes are not built, all the networks that are under the banner of the industrial Internet and cannot be connected in the future will all be industrial islands. The dream of the industrial Internet cannot be realized.

In fact, equipment islands within the factory are not terrible. Whether the enterprise is engaged in the industrial Internet or not, internal connections are necessary because they are required for intelligent production. However, if the factory is out of touch with the industry or even creates industry islands, the waste will be enormous, which will delay the progress of the industrial Internet.

New Opportunities for China's Software Industry
Wang Baihua's decades of experience in the software industry has enabled him to see that the Industrial Internet will also become a new opportunity for China's software industry, which is modularization, interface and microservices.

For a long time, the informatization of Chinese enterprises was for internal informatization. "But if the upstream and downstream of an enterprise are all connected together, any enterprise is equivalent to a node within the enterprise in the past, and an industrial chain is an enterprise." Therefore, industrial interconnection has broken the traditional enterprise informatization method, and the system may also be broken and needs to be rebuilt, including ERP.

Compared with Europe and the United States, Chinese enterprise management software lacks architecture, but in the era of industrial Internet, the traditional software industry will have new development space. Since there is no architecture, the architecture can be made smaller through modularization, interface and microservice. Therefore, the industrial Internet not only brings value to enterprises, but also brings another opportunity for the software industry to take off, which is industrial Internet software.
