At the Taipei Computer Show, Dell released a full line of new notebooks, especially the top-of-the-line "Alien" Alienware m15 and Alienware m17 gaming notebooks, which adopted a groundbreaking new industrial design concept and weighed 2.15kg and 2.63kg respectively, making them the lightest and thinnest 15/17-inch gaming notebooks to date.
At the same time, the m15 has built-in Tobii eye tracking technology, and the m17 is the world's first notebook with an Eyesafe display, with optional 144Hz or 240Hz refresh rates and a high-quality OLED panel.
Eyesafe display technology can intelligently manage light energy at the light source, selectively reduce the release of potentially harmful high-energy blue light, and disperse it across the entire spectrum to avoid problems such as dry eyes, difficulty sleeping, blurred vision, and difficulty concentrating, without affecting the color of the screen.
The technology will also be rolled out to the entire Alienware product line in the coming months, with the Area-M51 gaming laptop being the first to be upgraded.
Cyro-Tech 3.0 technology provides a new optimized cooling module design. The total airflow of m15 and m17 has increased by 20% and 25% compared with the previous generation, which can fully ensure the full operation of Intel's ninth-generation Core processors and NVIDIA Turing graphics cards.
The processor can be as high as the flagship Core i9-9980HK, with 8 cores and 16 threads, turbo boost of 5.0GHz and overclocking. The graphics card can be RTX 2080/2070/2060, GTX 1660 Ti, and HyperEfficient VR technology can be enabled, supporting up to 6 levels of processor voltage adjustment and 8 levels of graphics card voltage adjustment.
Other design and feature highlights include: magnesium alloy body, smooth edges, narrow bezel design, restructured keyboard, precision glass touchpad with touch support, all-solid-state hard drive storage, and AlienFX lighting technology full-key anti-ghosting RGB keyboard.
The new Alienware m15 and m17 will be available in the Chinese market in the coming weeks.
