On October 22, according to the official WeChat account of Huai'an District, Huai'an Weishi Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Weishi Technology") is about to start trial production of a new lightweight vehicle-mounted display component project.
On September 28, 2023, Jiangsu Weishi Technology's lightweight new vehicle-mounted display component project officially kicked off construction. The total investment of the project is as high as 1 billion yuan, covering an area of 100 acres. It plans to purchase a total of 417 sets of semi-solid injection molding equipment, die-casting equipment, spraying lines, CNC machining centers and other equipment, aiming to achieve an annual production capacity of 6.18 million die-casting parts and 1.85 million backlight display modules.
"The Weishi Technology project consists of seven buildings, and the main acceptance work has been completed. Among them, the core No. 4 factory building has passed the pre-acceptance successfully. In addition, the six factory buildings 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 are also in the final stage, including factory road construction, greening and other supporting work, which are expected to be completed by the end of December." said Liu Yucheng, director of the die-casting division of Weishi Technology.
As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Weishi Electronics, Huaian Weishi Technology Co., Ltd. focuses on the research, development, production and sales of backlight display modules, liquid crystal display modules, touch decorative panels, display components and smart displays. In recent years, Weishi Electronics has made certain progress in the field of in-vehicle displays, and its products are widely used in the mid-to-high-end automotive market.
"The pre-acceptance work of Factory No. 4 has been successfully completed. At present, the installation of the first injection molding machine has achieved initial results. The positioning of 7 equipment has been completed, and the auxiliary equipment is being installed in full swing. It is expected to be put into trial production in early November. The second dust removal line is also being installed intensively, and the trial production is expected to be completed by the end of November. The third spraying line uses digital spraying technology and is expected to complete trial production by the end of December." Liu Yucheng introduced.
With the construction of the new factory and the equipment being put into operation, in the next three years, with the continuous increase in new orders, the annual output value of the project is expected to reach 1 billion yuan, contributing about 60 million yuan in taxes to the local area.
According to the information, Huaian Weishi Technology Co., Ltd. was established on December 15, 2022. The company is located in Kunhuai Zhichuang Park, Huaian City, Jiangsu Province. The main business is the production and sales of backlight display modules, liquid crystal display modules, smart display components and other products.
The products are mainly used in mid-to-high-end automobiles, industrial control displays, smart homes and other fields. It is one of the leading companies in the global automotive backlight display module field.
In 2008, Weishi Technology entered the field of in-vehicle displays, and began to deploy Mini LED in-vehicle display applications three years ago. It has now successfully developed ultra-large-screen Mini LED, curved, and special-shaped integrated backlight modules. At the same time, it has obtained designated orders from well-known domestic and foreign automobile companies, such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Ford, GM, BYD, etc., and nearly ten orders will be introduced into mass production from the second half of 2023.
