On July 10, it was reported that NIO 's self-developed smart driving chip "Shenji NX9031" has been taped out and is currently being tested.

According to an insider, the Digi-9031 will be first installed on NIO's flagship sedan ET9 in the first quarter of 2025. "The chip team has received a military order that the new car ET9 must be equipped with Digi-9031 next year, which is very stressful," said an insider.

At the same time, Xiaopeng Auto's self-developed intelligent driving chip has been sent for tape-out and is expected to be returned in August. Ideal Auto's self-developed intelligent driving chip was developed relatively late. Its chip project is code-named "Schumacher". According to people familiar with the matter, Schumacher will also be completed within the year.
