Recently, according to foreign media reports, Circontrol launched a new generation of charging piles, Raption Compact 160, at Power2Drive, an international charging infrastructure and electric mobility trade show held in Munich, Germany. As its name suggests, this charging pile has a maximum charging capacity of 160 kilowatts and a maximum current of 375 amps.
The launch of Raption Compact 160 has further enhanced its position in the charging pile market. Compared with the previous generation products Raption 150 Compact and Raption 200, the charging power of the new generation charging pile has been increased to 160 kilowatts and 240 kilowatts respectively, which not only improves the charging efficiency, but also improves the equipment and user-friendliness. . However, the price of the new generation of charging piles has not yet been announced.
Raption Compact 160 is also very flexible in terms of configuration, and can be configured with two CCS connections or one CCS and one CHAdeMO connection. It’s worth noting that 160 kilowatts of charging power is only possible with the CCS connection, while the CHAdeMO connection is limited to 100 kilowatts (200 amps). If two electric vehicles are charging at the same time, the charging power will be equally distributed, that is, the power of each charging point will be 80 kilowatts.
In general, Circontrol's new generation charging pile Raption Compact 160 has improved in terms of charging efficiency and user-friendliness, and its flexible configuration also better meets the needs of users. Although the price has not yet been announced, its efficient performance will undoubtedly attract more users' attention.
