According to news on September 25, Hesai Technology recently announced that it has officially reached a designated cooperation with FAW Group to jointly create the world’s first in-cabin lidar smart driving solution. The next generation flagship pure electric model of the Hongqi brand will be the first to adopt Hesai’s ultra-thin Long-range lidar ET25.
The new model is expected to be mass-produced and delivered in the first half of 2025.
It is understood that ET25 is Hesai’s first ultra-thin long-range lidar for the ADAS front-mounted mass production market. The body is only 25mm high and is extremely thin and light, and can be placed behind the windshield. This installation method is wind-friendly and dirt-free, while also making the overall body design smoother and more beautiful. In addition, thanks to Hesai's new generation of laser transceiver modules with stronger performance, under the condition of 10% reflectivity, ET25 increases the ranging capability of 905nm lidar to more than 250m, helping smart cars to detect complex road conditions. Judge risks in a timely manner and make safer decisions.
Up to now, the cumulative delivery volume of Hesai lidar has exceeded 190,000 units.
