According to news on September 21, at the 2023 NIO Innovation and Technology Day this morning, Li Bin announced that NIO’s first self-developed chip will be mass-produced in October. The model is NX6031, which is claimed to be the industry’s first self-developed lidar main control chip. Chinese Named "Yang Jian".

Li Bin said that there are 800 people in the chip R&D team, and said that "making chips cannot be advanced for the sake of being advanced, and cost is also an important part. This chip can save us hundreds of dollars."

The chip uses an 8-core CPU with 8 sampling channels, 9-bit sampling depth, and a sampling rate of 1GHz. It is claimed to "reduce power consumption by 50%, reduce latency by 30%, and have a point cloud processing capacity of 8 million per second."
