Kangzhi Integrated Circuit (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.’s nine automotive high-definition video transmission SERDES chips have recently passed the AEC-Q100 Grade 2 automotive regulatory verification. The test fully complies with the AEC-Q100 standard, including electrostatic protection (ESD) and radiated electromagnetic waves ( EMI), etc., meeting the requirements of automotive high-definition video transmission applications with ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to 105°C, including smart cockpit, ADAS/APA, surround view/DMS/OMS, etc.
This test lasted for more than half a year and passed all AEC-Q100 Grade 2 verification items at one time. The 9 chips that passed the test include Kangzhi’s new generation vehicle high-definition video transmission SERDES product series. The new generation of automotive SERDES chip series adopts the Automotive High Definition Link-II (AHDL-II) protocol, which is independently developed and has complete intellectual property rights, to achieve higher bandwidth and lower latency automotive high-definition video transmission, meeting automotive customers’ requirements for high performance and high stringent requirements for reliability.
In order to ensure the authority and objectivity of the verification, Kangzhi commissioned Sushi Yite, an authoritative domestic automotive chip testing organization, to fully comply with the AEC-Q testing requirements and complete the rigorous testing of 9 automotive high-definition video transmission SERDES chips.
Mr. Cui Gewen, general manager of Sushi Yite, said after Kangzhi products passed the AEC qualification appraisal: "Kangzhi Integrated Circuit, as the first domestic automotive SERDES chip manufacturer to pass AEC-Q100 Grade2 verification, showed extremely high performance during the verification process. Professionalism, and strict requirements for product reliability. We are very happy to see that Kangzhi has more and higher requirements for this latest generation of products. This is the result of the great emphasis on AEC-Q100 and the joint efforts of the Chinese semiconductor industry. "
Mr. Liu Wenjun, founder and CEO of Kangzhi Integrated Circuit (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., said after the company’s products passed the AEC test: “As the most authoritative vehicle-level testing and verification institution in China, Sushi Yite has successfully completed the testing process that lasted more than half a year. The all-round professionalism and rigor presented in it are impressive. ”
The passing of the AEC-Q100 verification has formed and improved the Kangzhi automotive high-definition video SERDES chip series, covering most customer application scenarios and escorting the implementation of customer projects.
Beginning in 2023, Kangzhi's new generation of automotive high-definition video transmission SERDES chip series has officially entered mass production on customer models.
