According to foreign media reports, KYOCERA SLD Laser (KSLD), a laser light source commercialization company of Japan's Kyocera, announced the launch of the world's first LaserLightTM headlight modules (Headlight Modules), which can provide high-brightness white light and light for night vision and perception. Infrared (IR) dual illumination to improve safety and visibility in automotive and mobile applications. The company showed off these new laser-based headlight modules at CES 2023, along with its entire LaserLight product line and more.

LaserLightTM headlight module can provide full-featured, high-brightness, efficient adjustment of low-beam and high-beam functions, and has dual emission of white light and infrared functions. High-brightness, long-range white illumination provides sharp cutoff, high contrast and precise beam pattern with minimal glare to maximize driver visibility and optimize IIHS scores; while infrared illumination increases night vision camera visibility for pedestrians and visibility on foggy roads, while also implementing new forward lighting features including ranging and 3D flash lidar sensing.
