Recently, Prism Hologram announced that it has completed nearly 100 million yuan in A+ round of financing. This round of financing was jointly invested by A-round investors Geely Technology Group and Qianhe Investment. The financing funds will be used to promote the mass production of automotive products, the expansion and iteration of the next-generation product line, and the research and development of core technologies.
This is the second time that Geely Technology has invested in Prism Holography. In August 2019, Prism Holography announced the completion of a RMB 50 million Series A financing, which was exclusively invested by Geely Technology Group and claimed to be the largest amount of financing in the domestic holographic field at that time.
It is understood that Zhejiang Prism Holographic Technology Co., Ltd. was established in August 2017. It is a company focusing on holographic imaging solutions. Through holographic, VR, AR and holographic technologies, it creates holographic theaters and improves the problem that traditional media cannot interact. The core of the future imaging system is "imaging spatialization". "Imaging spatialization" is to use the world's cutting-edge holographic virtual technology to break away from the dependence on the medium and realize the holographic 3D three-dimensional air imaging visual presentation, spatialize the flat image, and image any object in all directions. Its products are widely used in automotive smart cockpits, smart homes, entertainment, media and other industries.
In the automotive field, Prism Hologram is the first Tier 1 supplier of spatial new display to reach automotive-grade mass production standards worldwide. The automotive product AID (Aerial holo Intelligent Display) based on medium-free holographic imaging technology has been standardized and packaged. Since then, AID has officially opened the era of screenless cars and promoted the construction of a smart travel ecosystem with unlimited imagination space.
In April 2021, Prism Hologram and Geely Auto jointly released the world's first holographic smart cockpit, which has been installed on the Geely ICON model. According to the official introduction, the "AID-Holographic Aerial Intelligent Display System" will realize full-color naked-eye 3D imaging, medium-free aerial imaging, and all-round stereoscopic imaging of any object, breaking through the visual imagination of human-vehicle interaction and making the car cockpit more humane, smarter, and cooler. Compared with traditional display methods, holographic technology allows users to feel the real effect of floating on the screen from all angles. Coupled with the aerial interactive function, it can be said to be a revolutionary experience in terms of vision and touch.
At the press conference, Li Chuanhai, Vice President of Geely Auto Group and Director of Geely Brand Research Institute, said: "Holographic imaging technology is a truly "boundless" display technology. It will be a revolution in the interactive ecology of display technology and in-vehicle. In addition to being installed on Geely ICON, other Geely products will also be gradually equipped with this technology in the future, and will realize the continuous technological evolution and iteration of AID."
