These models analyze charging time strategies and battery degradation mechanisms, aiming to extend battery life for customers and better control the environmental impact of various battery technologies over the next five years.

“We are pleased to benefit from CEA’s expertise,” said Nicolas Champetier, senior vice president of advanced engineering propulsion systems at Stellantis. “This digital modeling work will improve battery performance and reduce costs for our customers.”

Stellantis aims to create cutting-edge concepts to provide customers with innovative, clean, safe and economical mobility solutions. In its electrification strategy, Stellantis will reach technical cooperation with key companies, especially advanced battery technologies such as energy efficiency and customer cost of use, thereby playing a key role in addressing climate change.

“CEA is proud to provide Stellantis with technical support covering all stages of the product lifecycle, from design to end-of-life,” said Stephane Siebert, CEA’s Director of Technical Research.
