HONG KONG – September 9, 2021 – Efinix®, the programmable product platform and technology innovator, today announced AEC-Q100 qualification for multiple devices in its popular Trion family of FPGAs, as well as a major plan to extend both its Trion and Titanium product lines into the automotive market.
The first products to be released with AEC-Q100 certification are the Trion T13 and T20 FPGAs in F169 and F256 packages. These popular devices have rich I/O and embedded MIPI CSI-2 controllers, making them ideal for vision and display systems. AEC-Q100 Grade 2 product certification will expand the market space for these devices and pave the way for them to enter the automotive application market.
“The automotive semiconductor market is growing rapidly as the technology level of modern vehicles continues to improve,” said Jing Kuo, General Manager of Efinix China and Vice President of Sales and Business Development. “We are eager to bring AEC-Q100 qualification to the Efinix FPGA portfolio, which fully demonstrates our determination to bring Efinix’s superior quality, revolutionary performance and efficiency to the automotive market.”
As Efinix continues to expand AEC-Q100 certification to the Titanium series FPGAs, these devices will bring unprecedented power, performance, and area (PPA) advantages under the same certification standards. Once the ultra-high performance and ultra-low power Titanium series products are launched, they will surely open up new market applications. These expanding AEC-Q100 qualified products lay the foundation for Efinix's overall automotive market strategy. At the same time, as a supplement to the AEC-Q100 qualification, Efinix will also complete the ISO-26262 standard certification for automotive product design.
“Automotive applications require quality by design and long life in harsh environments,” said Ming Ng, SVP of Operations and Applications at Efinix. “Achieving AEC-Q100 qualification on our product portfolio and working toward ISO-26262 certification as part of our overall automotive market development plan demonstrates our commitment to infuse quality into every product.”
The AEC-Q100 Grade 2 qualified devices: T13F169, T13F256, T20F169, and T20F256 will be available immediately.
About Efinix
Efinix® is an innovator in programmable products, driving the future of artificial intelligence and edge computing through the company's Trion™ FPGA product platform. At the core of the Trion FPGA is Efinix's breakthrough Quantum™ FPGA technology, which has a 4x power-performance-area advantage over traditional FPGA technology. Trion FPGAs offer 4K to 120K logic cells, with a small area, low power consumption, and are suitable for mass production. The Titanium series FPGAs take it to new heights, providing lower power consumption and higher performance through an enhanced "Quantum computing architecture" and 16nm process. With densities ranging from 35K to 1M logic cells, the Titanium series FPGAs are ready to help you overcome your next design challenge. Our Efinity® integrated development environment provides a complete FPGA design flow from RTL to bitstream.
