The 7th Chengdu International Auto Parts & Aftermarket Services Exhibition (CAPAS) was successfully concluded on May 22, 2021 at the Century City New International Convention & Exhibition Center in Chengdu, China. As a highly professional automotive industry event in the southwest region, this exhibition actively responded to industry needs, adding a special zone for the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and a series of rich and diverse concurrent activities. The three-day exhibition received unanimous praise from all parties involved, once again demonstrating its style as an efficient trade, exchange and investment platform.

Well-known brands gathered at CAPAS to give positive affirmation

This exhibition has made great efforts to optimize the exhibition area, and upgraded and created seven major product areas: spare parts procurement, supplies and modification, warranty/supply chain and terminal chain, commercial vehicles, Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, tires and new energy intelligent network, which has been highly recognized by exhibitors. 3M, Botny, Dingguagua, Castrol, Kasema, Zero Kilometer Lubricant, Lukoil, Camel, Pal Brake, Ruili, Sentu, Shenghuabo, Songtian, Taianlian, Yihong, Yihejie, Zhongxing and other powerful brands all appeared, presenting a number of new products and excellent products, fully reflecting the industry trends and regional characteristics.

The German-based multinational company Taianlian Information Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. made its debut in the spare parts procurement area. Its marketing manager, Ms. Xie Yuling, expressed the hope that the exhibition platform would increase the company's market penetration in the southwest region: "There are many opportunities in the southwest region, and Chengdu and Chongqing are a key point in driving the entire west. We have gained more opportunities to expand the local market through the exhibition, and we hope to further promote the company's brand."

In the same zone, Taizhou Yihong Industrial Co., Ltd., whose deputy general manager Mr. Chen Feng also expressed his hope to use the exhibition to further expand the influence of its products in the southwest market. "We actively participated in the 520 Shopping Carnival, the Special Buyer Matching Conference, and attended the 2021 Southwest Automotive Aftermarket Summit Forum and other concurrent events as a guest speaker. The newly launched Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Zone has gathered a total of 189 well-known companies from Sichuan and Chongqing, such as Sichuan Anhao Precision and Chongqing Yirui Auto Parts, which fully demonstrates the strong strength of the automotive manufacturing industry in these two places. It also shows CAPAS's determination to actively respond to national policies and follow market development trends, and fully explore the unlimited potential of the Chengdu-Chongqing automotive market.

In addition, the commercial vehicle zone brings together the entire chain of fields from commercial vehicle complete vehicles, parts dealers, terminal maintenance companies, logistics fleets, truck drivers, etc. The zone has set up two major themes of "service" and "multinational brands", and has received support from brands such as AUM Technology, Common Rail Home, Mobil, Dayco, Garrett, Gates, ConMet, Tenneco, etc., to jointly tap the huge development potential of the commercial vehicle market.

Mr. Xu Zhichao, Sales Director of Chengdu Founder Auto Parts Sales Co., Ltd., one of the exhibitors, spoke highly of the exhibition: "The overall effect of this year's exhibition is good, and the flow of visitors is relatively dense. Comprehensive concurrent activities and precise matching services open up unlimited business opportunities

As always, many rich and exciting concurrent events were held during the exhibition. This year, the organizers organized a total of 12 events and forums of different forms and themes. Among them, the 2021 China New Energy Vehicle International Cooperation Conference returned to CAPAS again. At the meeting, leaders of well-known industry associations and companies such as the State Information Center, the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), and Weimar delivered speeches on topics such as corporate digital innovation, customer operations, and content marketing; leaders of auto companies such as Volvo, Chery, Nezha, and BEIJING conducted in-depth discussions on "Using digitalization as a means to grasp China's automobile consumption trends", giving the audience many inspiring ideas.

It is worth mentioning that the "Happy Chengdu - Boosting the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and Automotive Aftermarket New Energy Technology Talent Development Exchange Conference" was held for the first time at CAPAS this year. The conference focused on the cultivation of talents in the Southwest automotive aftermarket under the background of the "New Four Modernizations" of automobiles. Executives from well-known parts companies, leaders of vocational colleges, and various automotive professional media people exchanged and discussed topics such as how traditional technical talents can be developed into diversified high-end technical talents.

In order to serve exhibitors, professional buyers and visitors more effectively, the organizers have also planned matching service projects such as the specially invited buyer matching meeting and the 2021 CAPAS dealer dinner, which have brought more accurate and efficient procurement experience to both buyers and sellers, assisted them in expanding their business network, and created more effective business exchanges, and received a lot of positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors.

In addition, a number of new online services added this year have helped local companies break through geographical boundaries and build a broader communication bridge with domestic and overseas partners and potential customers, including:

•A number of online precision procurement matchmaking meetings were held before and during the exhibition, facilitating a total of 167 online one-on-one matching negotiations between buyers and exhibitors from Europe, Asia, South Africa, South America and the Middle East;

•Exhibitors interacted with buyers and promoted their products through on-site and online live broadcasts during the CAPAS 520 Shopping Carnival;

•The "Exhibition Secretary Live Broadcast" at the exhibition site allows overseas audiences to participate in the exhibition through video, thereby increasing the international participation of the exhibition.
