Recently, Lihong Qin, co-founder and president of NIO, revealed at a 100kWh battery sharing session that at the NIO Day event held on January 9, 2021, NIO will release its first sedan, 150kWh battery, NT2.0 autonomous driving platform and second-generation battery swap station.
This means that NIO Day to be held in Chengdu in January 2021 is very worth looking forward to.
It is understood that the 150kWh battery pack that NIO is about to release may be the largest capacity battery pack currently mass-produced on passenger cars, even exceeding the 133kWh battery pack installed by ZOOX on purely unmanned vehicles.
NIO has been pursuing large-capacity electric packs. From 2018 to 2020, NIO has released a battery pack every year, and has released battery packs with capacities of 70kWh, 84kWh, and 100kWh. The iteration of these battery products has put NIO's battery products and battery swap system at the forefront of the industry.
It is worth noting that the three battery packs that NIO has released are all completed by NIO and CATL. If nothing unexpected happens, NIO's 150kWh battery pack will be completed by NIO and CATL.
