Beijing time, October 28, according to foreign media reports, Porsche seems to have set off one climax after another in battery upgrades in recent days.
After announcing an upgrade to the battery capacity of the upcoming Panamera E-Hybrid model, the automaker announced on Tuesday (October 27 local time) that the battery capacity of the Cayenne E-Hybrid will also be increased from 14.1 kWh to 17.9 kWh.

As battery capacity increases, the vehicle's range is expected to increase, but until the EPA releases its official test data, the outside world will not know exactly how much the increase will be.
What is known now is that the powertrain of the 2021 Cayenne E-Hybrid model has not changed compared to the 2020 model. It uses a turbocharged 3.0L V-6 engine, while the Turbo S E-Hybrid model is still equipped with a 4.0L twin-turbo V-8. The maximum horsepower of the 2021 Cayenne E-Hybrid and Turbo S E-Hybrid models can reach 455 and 670 respectively.
Porsche also announced that Cayenne E-Hybrids equipped with the Sport Chrono package have a new tuning strategy that sets the charge target to 80 percent instead of 100 percent when the gasoline engine is charging.
In practice, this charging method is recommended for other electric and hybrid vehicles to increase the life of the battery pack while also making more efficient use of the gasoline engine.
