In order to assess the safety of the mixed "driving assistance systems" in the market, Europe's most authoritative collision test organization Euro NCAP (hereinafter referred to as: E-NCAP) has teamed up with Thatcham Research, an American auto insurance company, to launch the world's first "driving assistance system classification test" to reduce people's confusion about its functions.
NCAP's evaluation criteria for assisted driving functions mainly focus on two aspects: assistance capability (based on the balance between driver participation and vehicle assistance) and emergency safety preparation.
