Shenzhen New De Rui Technology Development Co., Ltd. ("New De Rui Technology", or "NDT") has developed a new generation of automotive cockpit pressure-sensitive touch solutions, which are widely used in cockpit blind operation application scenarios, have anti-mistouch function, greatly improve user experience and driving safety, and can be used for car center consoles, steering wheel function keys, door keys and other applications. This solution is not only exquisite in appearance, but also based on the raw materials of NDT's patented high molecular organic polymers, which can be printed on a variety of uniform material surfaces to create a non-physical button, integrated, anti-mistouch cockpit human-machine interaction interface, matching the trend of continuous innovation in interior design changes, and achieving a more advanced, minimalist and more humane user cockpit experience.
NDT's automotive cockpit pressure-sensitive touch solution identifies pressure touch by detecting the micro-deformation formed by pressing the panel. Its standard Sensor PT-061 is only 7mm*2.15mm*0.4mm in size. Through actual measurement on a 0.8mm thick stainless steel panel, the minimum excitation force is only 30~50g (if attached to the center console display, steering wheel, door lock and other panels, the excitation force can be smaller), and the measurable panel deformation is less than 1μm in the direction perpendicular to the panel. It has a series of advantages such as high sensitivity, low power consumption, and high linearity. In addition, the NDT standard Sensor PT-061 supports surface mounting or cantilever beam methods, which can meet the different usage requirements of automotive pressure-sensitive touch. This solution is not just a simple replacement of buttons, but a quantitative measurement of the human-computer interaction interface from the pressure sensing dimension to help improve the user experience and create an intelligent, comfortable, and multi-dimensional automotive cockpit human-computer interaction interface.

Eric Ren, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at NDT, said: "The intelligent upgrade of the car cockpit (including interior) is an inevitable trend. For example, the center console, as one of the most critical human-machine interaction interfaces in the cockpit, is evolving from complex buttons to a simple touch interaction interface, while the steering wheel function keys are facing new requirements such as blind operation and anti-mistouch. For the sake of safety and reliability, NDT's innovative multi-dimensional sensing solution combining 'capacitive touch + pressure anti-mistouch' has become an ideal choice for these application scenarios. As an industry-leading provider of pressure-sensitive touch solutions, NDT has carried out in-depth cooperation with well-known automotive parts solution providers and automotive end customers in the industry, and continues to conduct research on topics related to smart cockpits and automotive electronics, prototype development, and project implementation."
In order to meet the extensive needs of the automotive OEM market, NDT's automotive cockpit pressure-sensing touch solution is undergoing automotive-grade verification and testing, and will deliver automotive-grade products in Q4 2020. In the future, NDT will develop more automotive application scenarios based on its leading pressure sensing technology, not only for intelligent pressure-sensing touch for interior decoration, but also for key automotive electronic applications such as ride sensing, impact testing, and oil pressure/tire pressure monitoring, accelerating the transformation of automotive intelligence.
