Recently, RoboSense, a lidar environmental perception solution provider headquartered in Shenzhen, China, has developed a complete lidar perception solution RS-Fusion-P5 for self-driving taxis . The company positioned it as a product comparable to Waymo's radar solution and will launch it first in overseas markets.
The sensing range of RS-Fusion-P5 is an area with a radius of more than 200 meters from the center of the vehicle. In order to cover the blind spots around the vehicle body, the solution embeds 4 scanning points laterally around the vehicle to form a hemispherical scanning area, ensuring a complete 360-degree field of view around the vehicle body without blind spots.
In addition, the RS-Fusion-P5 solution uses special laser encryption technology to filter interference signals, thereby achieving the anti-interference function of multiple laser radars and is not affected by strong light such as direct sunlight. This solution can not only accurately identify objects around the vehicle body, such as pets, children, roadbeds, etc., but also detect the actual height information of external obstacles in specific environments (such as bridges, tunnels and culverts). Self-driving cars will make decisions based on relevant information, improving the safety of vehicle driving.
Now, the RS-Fusion-P5 solution is available for ordering. Users can obtain additional free road test sample data while obtaining product information, which is of great reference value for the development of self-driving taxis.
