From October 14 to October 20, Sunwoda Power will present its core products at the Paris Motor Show, one of the world's five major auto shows; at the same time, its manufacturing base in Hungary will hold a foundation ceremony. So far, Sunwoda Power has 12 major production bases around the world and has been selected as a "Global Power Battery Tier 1 Manufacturer" by BenchMark.

Hybrid batteries make best-selling models
In 2018, Sunwoda Power was designated by Renault of France for its HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) batteries. The Dacia Spring model of Renault's brand equipped with this product was a great success in Europe, receiving more than 40,000 orders in just 8 months, becoming the best-selling electric model in Italy and the runner-up in electric vehicle sales in France.
To date, hybrid batteries have become the flagship product of Sunwoda Power. From 2021 to 2023, the company ranked first in China's hybrid battery installation volume for three consecutive years, becoming China's largest hybrid battery manufacturer. In addition to Renault of France, the company has established cooperative relations with many high-end car companies such as Volkswagen of Germany, ranking among the top 3 in the world in terms of high-end car installation volume.

In addition, PHEV (plug-in hybrid vehicle) batteries, the star product of the hybrid series, are gradually favored by more European customers. Due to its plug-in hybrid advantages, on the one hand, it can alleviate mileage anxiety and reduce fuel consumption; on the other hand, it has practical value in Europe where electrification is slowing down and environmental protection requirements are high.

It is worth mentioning that in 2024, Sunwoda Power's world-first 6C flash charging battery 3.0 was also unveiled at this exhibition. It can be charged to 80% SOC in 10 minutes, greatly alleviating users' charging anxiety and is suitable for pure electric vehicles. Flash charging battery 1.0 was released in 2022 and has reached the industry-leading level after several generations of iterations.

Also unveiled at the exhibition was Sunwoda Power's solid-state battery products, and many high-end car companies have begun to pay attention to the development progress of solid-state batteries.
At present, Xinwangda Power's first-generation semi-solid-state battery has been developed, and the second-generation semi-solid-state battery cell samples have begun pilot tests; the third-generation polymer composite all-solid-state battery has completed laboratory verification and is expected to complete product development in 2025; the fourth-generation all-solid-state battery is still under development and is expected to complete laboratory sample production in 2027. Progress is currently smooth.

In addition to the power battery product line, as one of the companies with the most and most complete energy storage application cases in China, Xinwanda Power exhibited high-performance, high-safety, and more stable 72Ah, 102Ah, 280Ah, 314Ah, and 625Ah energy storage cells. According to SMM statistics, in the first half of 2024, Xinwanda Power ranked among the top ten in the world in terms of lithium iron phosphate energy storage cell shipments and the top ten in China in terms of lithium iron phosphate energy storage cell production.
The automotive electronics business showcased a solution that integrates a variety of products including BMS, domain controller, vehicle power supply (small three electrics), BDU, and vehicle-cloud integration. In the future, the company will continue to develop HPC high-performance computing units and other controllers for the entire vehicle.
Xinwanda Power's entire product line is known for its high quality. In 2012, it obtained the IATF16949 automotive quality management system certification. The company has established a quality system that meets the standards of automotive companies and strictly adheres to the "automotive-grade" quality and safety manufacturing control standards. It ensures product quality from quality awareness, raw material inspection, product production quality control, and finished product shipment inspection, and serves global customers with ultra-high quality.

If the company wants to provide in-depth services to European customers, on the one hand, it needs to have a complete product line to meet the needs of customers at different stages; on the other hand, the company needs to adapt to local laws and regulations and enhance its localized service capabilities.
On October 18, Sunwoda Power will hold a foundation ceremony at its manufacturing base in Nyíregyháza, Hungary, marking the official entry of the Hungarian base into the construction phase, which is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2026. The establishment of overseas bases shortens the physical distance between product production and delivery, which is conducive to ensuring product quality, improving transportation efficiency, and increasing the company's credibility among European customers.

In addition, in 2023, the EU introduced the Batteries and Waste Batteries Regulation, which sets out clear requirements on hazardous substances, carbon footprint, recycled raw materials, electrochemical performance and durability, removability and replaceability, battery waste management, labeling, etc. of batteries placed on the EU market.
In response to this, Sunwoda Power has taken corresponding measures:
First, we will focus on the management of the supply chain management system, accelerate the construction of a carbon footprint standard system for power batteries, and actively promote mutual recognition with international standards; the company will conduct in-depth exchanges with core suppliers on the current status of emission reduction and company goals.
The second is to promote the implementation of the Chinese version of the battery passport and align the domestic battery system with international standards. As a member of the GBA, Sunwoda will use its own industry advantages to promote the construction of the battery passport digital platform and enhance the transparency of the global battery value chain by integrating blockchain, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and other technologies.
