On April 24, a discussion meeting on the industry standards of iron-chromium liquid flow batteries was held at Herui Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd., sponsored by the Energy Industry Flow Battery Standardization Technical Committee and hosted by Beijing Herui Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. Professor Wang Baoguo of Tsinghua University, Professor Xu Quan of China University of Petroleum and more than 30 industry experts and representatives of related companies discussed and reviewed the two industry standards, "Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Iron-Chromium Liquid Flow Battery Electrodes" and "Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Iron-Chromium Liquid Flow Battery Bipolar Plates".

Guo Yan, Secretary-General of the Flow Battery Standardization Technical Committee, presided over the meeting. Sun Wenfeng, Second-level Commissioner of the Weifang High-tech Zone Management Committee, and Yang Lin, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Herui Energy Storage and Chairman of Herui Electric Investment, delivered speeches.

Sun Wenfeng said that the iron-chromium liquid flow battery energy storage technology is of great significance to the development of the new energy industry. He hopes that the upstream and downstream enterprises of the liquid flow battery will make full use of this opportunity to strengthen cooperation, expand the market, and jointly promote the application and development of the iron-chromium liquid flow battery technology. Weifang High-tech Zone will continue to give play to the local industrial, technological and financial advantages, build a government-enterprise cooperation development platform, and work with enterprises to promote the high-quality development of the liquid flow energy storage industry.

Chairman Yang Lin said that under the background of the national "dual carbon" strategic goal and the transformation of new energy, liquid flow energy storage has received more and more attention and favor due to its own advantages. As one of the earliest research technology routes in the field of liquid flow, iron-chromium liquid flow battery has achieved fruitful scientific research results and has taken shape in industrial development. It is urgently needed for industry associations, experts and scholars, and related enterprises to work together to formulate and improve industry standards and guide the further development of the industry. Therefore, this standard review working group meeting is of great significance to the development of iron-chromium liquid flow batteries.

At the meeting, the standard drafting working group introduced in detail the draft of two industry standards, "Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Iron-Chromium Liquid Flow Battery Electrodes" and "Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Iron-Chromium Liquid Flow Battery Bipolar Plates". After heated discussions among experts and companies at the meeting, the key test data optimization, framework format supplementation, relevant technical indicator adjustments, and test method improvement and optimization were finally clarified, and the standard review work was successfully completed.

After the meeting, the experts went to the company's production site and visited the automatic assembly line and modular product testing platform of Herui Electric Power's iron-chromium flow battery, and gained a detailed understanding of the latest developments in the iron-chromium flow battery industry. At the same time, they had in-depth communication and exchanges with the company's management, and fully affirmed and highly evaluated the performance results achieved by Herui Electric Power.
