1. Guangdong Province New Energy Storage Innovation Center Industry-University-Research Collaborative Innovation Base Project

Scenario requirements: In order to promote the verification and application of innovative products of various technical routes of new energy storage, the Guangdong New Energy Storage National Research Institute plans to build a collaborative innovation base for industry, academia, research and application, and provide application verification opportunities for various new energy storage solutions. The main scenario requirements include:

1. New energy storage power stations with multiple technology routes. Build the world's first comprehensive outdoor energy storage demonstration test platform, and provide the first demonstration test and grid-connected verification platform for the whole society. The first batch of technical solutions to be verified include lithium-ion battery technology (100MW/200MWh), sodium-ion battery technology (50MW/100MWh), solid-state battery technology (50MW/100MWh), supercapacitor technology (50MW/10MWh), flow battery technology (30MW/120MWh), and water battery technology (20MW/70MWh).

2. Coupling and application of new energy storage solutions with multiple technology routes. Carry out verification around the operation management and benefit analysis of each technology route solution, form the best operation strategy for a single technology solution, and gradually build a comprehensive operation and maintenance solution for the coupling of multiple technology routes to form an efficient and reliable "one-in-one, multi-purpose, time-sharing multiplexing" model.

Construction foundation: Guangdong National Institute of New Energy Storage is a provincial manufacturing innovation center jointly established by China Southern Power Grid Technology and 14 leading enterprises in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain in a "company + alliance" manner. This project plans to build a comprehensive new energy storage outdoor empirical test platform in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, to create an innovative highland of production, learning, research and application integrating "research and development-testing-pilot-evidence" in the field of new energy storage. The project covers an area of ​​200 acres, with a planned total installed capacity of 300MW/600MWh and an estimated total investment of 2.5 billion yuan. At present, the project has completed the project site selection, filing and access system plan approval, and is organizing the preliminary design of the project.

The main scenario requirements include:

Large-capacity solid-state battery and all-vanadium flow battery energy storage power station. Integrate and apply semi-solid lithium-ion battery, all-vanadium flow battery, and lithium iron phosphate battery technology solutions to build a large-capacity grid-side independent energy storage power station and deploy a full-link safety management and control system. Build operation and maintenance solutions for solid-state battery and flow battery technology, and carry out commercial application verification around peak load regulation, frequency regulation and other grid instructions.

Construction basis: The project is registered by Guangdong New Energy Storage National Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Datang Group Guangdong Branch intends to obtain the project development rights by changing equity. The total installed capacity of the project is planned to be 100MW/210MWh, and the total investment is expected to be 400 million yuan. At present, the project has completed the registration and site selection, and Guangdong New Energy Storage National Research Institute and Datang Group are drafting and signing the project cooperation agreement.

Scenario requirements: In order to optimize the town's energy supply structure, improve energy security capabilities and green development levels, Guangdong Huineng Green Energy plans to build a comprehensive new energy demonstration application project for the entire town. The main scenario requirements include:

1. New high-safety electrochemical independent energy storage power station. Use new lithium-ion battery and iron-based liquid flow battery technology solutions to build independent energy storage power stations on the grid side and user side, and comprehensively use battery ultrasonic scanning technology, aerogel thermal insulation and flame retardant technology and other energy storage safety technologies to improve the active and passive comprehensive safety of energy storage power stations.

2. Intelligent dispatching and management of integrated energy of photovoltaic, storage and charging in the whole town. Use virtual power plant and smart grid related technologies to link the energy infrastructure of photovoltaic power generation, charging piles and other energy in the whole area, build an intelligent dispatching and management system of integrated energy of photovoltaic, storage and charging, realize digital and intelligent dispatching, accurately track the peak and valley fluctuations of the power grid, "cut the peak and fill the valley", improve the stability of regional power grid operation, explore the wall-to-wall electricity sales model, and provide enterprises with reliable power supply guarantee and green energy income.

The project is expected to achieve a peak-shaving service capacity of 330 times per year, increase the annual consumption of new energy and green electricity in the town by more than 250 million kWh, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 200,000 tons per year.

Construction basis: Guangdong Huineng Green Energy Development Co., Ltd. carried out the construction of this project according to the requirements of Humen Town's green comprehensive energy plan. The total installed capacity of this project is planned to be 100MW/200MWh, including a grid-side energy storage power station and a user-side energy storage power station. The grid-side energy storage power station is adjacent to the Ningzhou Power Plant and the 220 kV Zexu Substation, with a planned installed capacity of 50WM/100MWh; the user-side energy storage power station is located in a 2,000-acre new industrial park, with a planned installed capacity of 50WM/100MWh. The total investment of the project is expected to be 2.51 billion yuan, and the project has been approved.
