Under the general background of the strategic goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" and the construction of a new power system, based on the principles of equality, voluntariness, mutual benefit and common development, the two parties (Party A is the Jieyang Municipal Government and Party B is China Southern Power Grid Energy Storage) agreed to jointly invest in the development of the Dayang Pumped Storage Power Station project in Jiexi County, Jieyang City.
According to the National Energy Administration's "Medium- and Long-Term Development Plan for Pumped Storage (2021-2035)", the Dayang project site is located in Wujingfu Town, Jiexi County, Jieyang City, with a planned installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts and a total investment of approximately RMB 8 billion. The project has the construction conditions for an installed capacity of 2.4 million kilowatts, and can be expanded in the future according to national planning adjustments and grid load demand. The installed capacity and investment of the Dayang project shall be subject to the feasibility study design plan approved by the project.
