As of May 30, 2022 Beijing time, the overall supply scale of BYD's grid-level energy storage product BYD CUBE T28 in North America has reached 1.6GWh+ this year.


The BYD supply project this time includes the first batch of utility-scale solar and energy storage power station projects in North America. At present, the relevant projects have successfully passed the joint commissioning and trial operation and have been put into operation. The projects in this region use BYD's grid-level energy storage product BYD CUBE T28 independently developed in 2019. BYD CUBE T28 is the first domestic grid-level energy storage system that has successfully passed the UL9540A thermal runaway test and technical evaluation. At the beginning of its launch, it received 800MWh+ project orders. At present, the product has been shipped to projects around the world, mainly used to match new energy power generation, and the product-related projects are in smooth operation.

In addition, to meet the order delivery, BYD's largest assembly line production base in the energy storage industry began production in early 2022. The production base integrates production and testing, and will become one of the representative bases for the research and development and production of advanced large-scale new energy storage products in South China.
